1. What is your passion or purpose you are being called to bring into action right now?
My passion and purpose is to empower female entrepreneurs turn their ideas and passion into a business reality.
2. What were the motivating factors or defining moments that inspired you to get involved and share your passion?
It was evolutionary for me. I think I’ve been on this trajectory since I was a teenager. I’ve always been keenly sensitive to women’s challenges in the business world. Whether their struggles were underrepresented or misrepresented, I was always aware of the imbalances women faced. Having said that, over the years many intelligent and creative women like Eve Ensler, creator of “The Vagina Monologues” have inspired me to play a much larger role in elevating and empowering my sisters.
3. What is your mantra or favorite quote you refer to when you seek inspiration or hope and why?
“I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life’s a bitch. You’ve got to out and kick ass.” – Maya Angelou This quote embodies the spirit of the female entrepreneur who wants to make a difference in the world.
4. Tell us about a moment recently when you were standing in your full power and purpose?
I have those moments often and they are usually when I am alone with nature. I feel the strong and sweet pulse of Mother Earth embrace me as I stand there in awe of the life-force that energizes me. It’s where I go to get clarity and quiet my mind. It’s where I go to visualize, be inspired, and think creatively. I then take that creative energy and bring it to my business as I build a goal-planning software system for female entrepreneurs.
5. Why is the work you are doing so important for everyday women?
We live in a highly male-influenced planet and the outcome has been morally, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, psychologically, physically, and economically deficient. If I can empower a woman to have economic freedom by helping her build a successful and sustainable business then that is one step forward for humanity. Women tend to take a more holistic approach to
business than men. For example, when a woman goes into business for herself, she tends to look at it from the perspective of how her business is going to affect her family and her community and her personal life. Men in general tend to look at business purely from a profit driven lens and clearly that is not healthy for humanity. This male dominance has led to a huge imbalance on our planet.
6. Why is it so important for women to participate in an event like the Passion into Action Conference?
Anytime women gather together at a conference like Passion into Action, magic happens, creative collaboration is born, and meaningful relationships are formed. This inspires action.
7. What are you hoping will be the biggest take-aways for women both at the Passion into Action Conference and your workshop?
That women don’t need permission from anybody to pursue their dreams and ideas. All they need to do is get clear on their vision, come up with a plan, take action, track their results and be adaptable.
8. What is your message to women around the world?
Life is short. Go for it! Stepping into your power means healthier and happier families. Healthier and happier families lead to sustainable and collaborative communities. Sustainable and collaborative communities can build borderless countries. Borderless countries can come together and create a world that works for all not just the 1%.
