1,000 Rise Up in Small Town to End Violence Against Women

Over 1,000 people participated in One Billion Rising Nevada County Flash Mob to demand an end to violence against women and girls in the small town Grass Valley, CA.  The flash mob was followed by performances, spoken word, music and dance at The Center for the Arts.

The Nevada County Coalition of One Billion Rising consists of See Jane Do, DVSAC, Women Agains the War on Women, Citizens for Choice, One Wake World, The Center for the Arts, Women SAVVY and Jazzercise and Gather the Women.
